Making a study space cosy, yet, not too traditional is all about balancing some traditional and traditionally-looking pieces of furniture with some contemporary ones, and using some smart accessories.
My proposed design features a traditional marylebone white desk from Swoon Editions, one of my all times favourites chair with lovely, subtle curves, from Wychwood, a wool rug with a border from Crucial Trading.
The desk is decorated with a lovely French ceramic lamp. The wall needs a contemporary painting from Quintessa Art Collection.
Marks & Spencer bookcase features very smart accessories from AURA, from the bottom gold cell, roc black box, passion black vase, and agate bookcase ends on the top shelf. Notice the colours of all accessories are dark, which creates a nice contrast with the bookcase and makes them stand out.
If you are particularly attracted by any of these pieces, contact me, and I’ll happily help you source it 🙂
