Salone del Mobile could be translated as a Furniture salon, but there’s so much more to see in Milan than just furniture; the yearly exhibition is known to be one of the biggest and most popular among the interior designers, product designers, lighting designers and architects in the world. There’s not only furniture that you can admire there, but also lighting, technological home solutions, soft furnishings and many more. It’s a must see place to be in for any Interior Designer as it helps us keep abreast of the current and future trends, and of course, is a great place to network. There are hundreds of suppliers exhibiting yearly at Salone del Mobile, so in order to see everything, I would suggest going for at least a few days. There are 2 days open to the public, so if you’re not a trade person, you can still attend this amazing event.
Since I love sharing anything and everything related to Interior Design, I have prepared a small “tour of 2015’s Salone del Mobile”- enjoy!
Let’s start for this gorgeous accessory by Alessi; who wouldn’t enjoy their Sunday morning egg in this?
I absolutely love this side table as it’s very playful and has some funky geometric pattern, which is my all time favourite!
And the sofas this year seem to all offer adjustable back cushions and built-in side space, which means you could simply put your cup of coffee on the side; that poses a question of necessity of a coffee table…
