Design Tuesdays-Interior Colours- How to make a house green?

Since Spring has already and finally arrived, and since one of the strongest, current design trends is ‘green, ecological, environmentally-friendly’ design, I thought this Design Tuesday should be also devoted to the current topic of making house “green.” Who doesn’t like the green colour? Well, maybe some of you don’t like to wear green, but surely, you like the way grass and trees (in Spring & Summer) look like-right? Greens, similarly to yellows, the latter being tricky to work with, evoke the outside, suggesting the freshness of the world outside. Whether it’s a deep, vivid green or deep and tones bronze green,  they can most potently express the bounty of nature and lend an air of quiet distinction to any interior.

Since more and more of us are living in the cities or in small spaces, without luscious green gardens, introducing a bit of green into our interior space, would definitely have a positive impact on our well-being. I have compiled a few interesting green fabrics and wallpapers, some of which have been recommended in Elle Decoration April 2015 issue, which could allow you to bring a bit of outside in… If you need help putting the soft furnishings fabrics together, don’t hesitate to contact Katie Malik Interiors
