With Spring fast approaching, it’s time to start thinking about our gardens and terraces. It’s my pleasure to introduce Kettal, Spanish outdoor furniture maker. You may say, well, there are so many out there in the market to choose from, so what’s so special about Kettal? Kettal takes its pride in “the creation of timeless furniture, functional and expressive, which represents a contemporary culture and provides solutions to the emerging needs of modern life, based on a blend of creativity, customisation, innovation and modern production.”
Well, all pieces of Bitta collection features dense braiding, reminiscent of the braiding of the ropes used to moor boats (hence the name Bitta, which means ‘mooring’ in Italian), which makes the pieces look lightweight but, at the same time, just cosy.
I associate with Kettal’s values of creation of timeless and functional design that is built around people’s needs, so was very happy to specify pieces from the Bitta’s collection for the terrace of the Foster project. Below, you can see a sketch of terrace design.
There’s of course so many more beautiful pieces in Kettal’s collections, check their page here for some inspiration.
